How a Betapawa solar installation works, step by step

The short answer

A Crestgreen-certified engineer surveys your site, confirms the design, then installs in one or two days: panels and rails, DC cabling and protection, inverter and batteries, earthing, then commissioning tests. You get a handover pack with photos, settings and registered warranties.

Before install day

Clear access to the roof and the room where the inverter will sit. Make sure someone can let the crew in from 8am.

On the day

Most home systems take one day. Larger systems or ones with long cable runs take two. Expect power to be off for 1–2 hours while we connect to your distribution board.

After handover

Your warranties are registered against serial numbers, which you can check on our verify page. Your account shows your handover pack and lets you open a service ticket.

Step by step

  1. Site survey. An engineer checks your roof, existing wiring, distribution board and where the inverter and batteries will sit.
  2. Design sign-off. You confirm the system design, cable routes and install date.
  3. Mounting and panels. Rails are fixed to rafters, panels clamped and strings wired with MC4 connectors.
  4. Inverter, batteries and protection. The inverter and batteries are mounted, with DC breakers, surge protection and a changeover.
  5. Earthing and commissioning. An earth rod is installed and the engineer records PV voltage, battery state of charge and inverter settings.
  6. Handover. You sign on the engineer's phone and get a handover pack with photos, settings and warranty registrations.

Yes. We use roof hooks or clamp systems rated for long-span aluminium and seal every penetration.
