The problem

Hotels, clinics, schools and factories run on diesel generators that burn cash and break down, but solar plants are capital-intensive and take expertise to run.

How it works

Betapawa designs, finances, installs, monitors and maintains the solar and storage plant. The business pays only for the energy it uses, typically 30–45% below what it spends on diesel today, or chooses lease-to-own over 3 to 5 years.
